Over the years he has helped numerous multinational companies in protecting, acquiring and expanding their market share by asserting their IP rights and defending them against IP lawsuits.Xiyan's experience doesn't stop at litigation. He is also experienced in IP portfolio building. He frequently helps companies in building their IP porfolio through prosecution and acquisition of patents and trademarks. As a by product of this practice, Xiyan prosecuted a large number of patent and trademark applications.Xiyan is also admitted to practice as a Professional Engineer (PE). He focuses on all areas of patent and trademark law, with the goal of providing valuable intellectual property protection strategically aligned with each client’s business objectives.Pete manages patent and trademark portfolios for a number of international companies. He assists clients in optimizing their intellectual property opportunities through the use of patents and trademarks in the United States and abroad. He has also conducted intellectual property audits to help clients mine and capture important innovations. Pete is also experienced in filing and defending lawsuits involving patent and trademark claims. He is also pursuing a Masters degree in Computer Science with the intention of being licensed by the USPTO. In addition to his litigation experience, Pete has worked in the energy field for a major Midwestern law firm, handling large-scale corporate transactions for some of the nation’s leading oil and gas operators. His work primarily concerned the extensive mineral deposits in North Dakota, South Dakota, and Montana.
